Blog problems

You may have noticed that above my header there is a warning message.  This suddenly arrived a couple of days ago and I’ve been unable to remove it.  I got in touch with my computer guru and he has suggested I contact Fiverr, a company who help with blog problems and so I have done that and put out a request for assistance.  I just hope that someone will be able to remove this offending warning (whatever these things are called that appear unrequested.)

Also, I attempted to write a new post last night, tried to insert photographs, but while they appeared in the Media Gallery, I could not insert them into a post, so gave up on that.

So, until I manage to get these problems fixed, any posts will have to be without photos, I’m afraid.  I do apologise for this disruption.  I know a lot of you have been enjoying my blog and the photos, but I assure you I am doing my best to get the problems fixed.

All good wishes,

Margaret

  1. Technology is a double edged sword, I’m always relieved to find out it’s not my computer that’s the problem. I know that’s selfish but I am a true technophobe. I hope it gets sorted out quickly and easily for you. I enjoy reading your blog.

Thank you for that message, Alison. I’m totally hopeless with the technology. I even find it difficult explaining what is wrong as I don’t understand the computer jargon. I just hit the keys I know and the icons I know. But this has totally befuddled me. As we speak someone from Fiverr (that is the correct spelling, by the way) is going to give me an estimate for how much it will cost to put this right. I just hope he can put it right. I enjoy writing my blog and if others enjoy reading it, that is really rewarding to me.

I have been in contact with Fiverr, a company which deals with this kind of problem, but so far I’ve not been able to get things sorted out. It is difficult as I find such websites in themselves confusing!

  3. Good luck with getting the problem sorted Margaret. Really enjoy reading your blog. Look forward to hearing from you again soon x

Thank you, Dot. I look forward to being able to write again soon. Well, I could write some posts, but the way things are, they’d be without photos and the topics I want to share with the readers of my blog are virtually photo-dependent, that might be difficult! I do miss not being able to write, but I do hope that things can be sorted out soon.

  4. Thank you for letting us know. I had logged onto your site a couple of days ago and when I saw the message I was quite befuddled too ! Fingers crossed that it’s easily fixed. Remember when we all believed computers would make life so much easier ….

Yes, we all were taken in with the selling of computers, that we’d end up with a paper-less society, too! I do hope the problem won’t take that long to fix – it’s getting someone reliable to do it that’s the problem. Most computer people put computer problems right. This appears to be a website problem which they don’t usually deal with.
