Continuing Blog Problems

The problem with my blog is ongoing and I am doing my best to resolve it.   It is really annoying that I can’t attach photos, and it would appear that all my photos in my Media Gallery have disappeared.  I hope normal service will be resumed as soon as possible, as they used to say when television transmission broke down in the 1950s and 1960s!

I could write posts, of course, without photos, but this is very much a photo-led blog, as I think photos really do add interest for readers – I have always wanted my blog to look like an attractive magazine, one  that might be pleasant to sit with and read for five minutes with coffee.

I will be back posting a s a p.

All good wishes,

Margaret

I’m having the same problem – my photo storage site has very recently decided to ‘Add a New Plan’ costing (wait for it) $399.99 annually!!!! Formerly it was free to select my photos from the storage area and paste them on to my blog (or on to a forum I belong to) but it has been decided that as adverts are not bringing in enough revenue, income is needed for ‘Hosting pictures on another site’. Sorry, but that means I can no longer use their services. I have looked at other sites but can find no way of transferring all my photos to a new site.
They have me over a barrel.

I wonder if that is why my photos have suddenly disappeared, Rosemary? It is a possibility. I paid £100 for my own website and I pay £50 a year for the domain name, but I’ve not had to pay for the storage of photos. It would help if I knew how these things worked. As I’ve said to others, I can drive a car but I can’t take the engine apart, so I can use my blog and email and so forth, but I don’t know how to put things right when they go wrong.

  2. Take your time getting it sorted. We will all be here on your return 🙂

Thank you so much, Lara. I have lots of new books I want to chat about, and places we have visited … mainly books, though. I have been in touch with a woman via Fiverr, a website that deals with these probs, but so far without success. I am now considering perhaps starting a new blog, but will see what transpires in the next few days. Thank you for being so patient.

Photographs are definitely a big part of your blog, Margaret. I wish mine were half as good!
    Looking forward to your return.

I was in touch with a person from Fiverr, but she’s not had any success at getting my blog de-bugged yet. If she can’t then I must try someone else. It is a worry as I enjoy writing my blog, and it’s kind of you to say that you like my photos.
